Fraser River Forge is a professional production blacksmith shop with a focus on hand forging. Located in Vancouver, BC, our well equipped 2000sqft shop can accommodate up to 20 students for teaching purposes. When classes are not in session, we do repairs and modifications, welding and metal fabrication, custom decorative and architectural ironwork, specialty tools, knives, and exclusive, high-end kitchenware.
Josh
Journeyman Blacksmith
Josh completed an apprenticeship under a German Journeyman Blacksmith of 40 years experience who apprenticed in South Germany under Master Blacksmith Klaus Walz of Villingen-Schwenningen. He is also a Red Seal Journeyman Automotive Service Technician of 22 years experience, a Journeyman Joiner, Journeyman Millwright, and ferrous metal fabricator. He was born into a trades family and has been collecting industry experience since he could walk. He is the head carpenter and shop foreman for J&S Custom Furniture.
Cody
Journeyman Welder, Apprentice Blacksmith
Cody has 16 years experience as a Red Seal Journeyman Welder and is currently working in the industry in heavy machinery production. He teaches our welding program and assists as a blacksmith instructor and in forge production.
Joe
Apprentice Blacksmith
Joe is apprenticed to Josh both as a carpenter and as a blacksmith. He assists in teaching and production.
